Daily Devotional: Deuteronomy 31:8
Thursday morning we returned to the Redemption West Mobile for our service projects. We met with Cliff, who is bi-vocational and Cade, who is an intern with Redemption Church. We split into 3 groups and went to different locations in the West Mobile area.
One group traveled to Baker High School and worked two landscaping projects. The principle and teachers were so appreciative....we even saw a news crew shortly after we finished the "Welcome to Baker High School" landscaping, doing a news broadcast in front of it.
The second group traveled to Collier Elementary School. There, the group replaced all the classroom furniture that was taken out to strip and wax the floors. They replenished about half the schools classrooms with their original furniture....to include some teachers desks that weighed....A LOT.
The third group stayed at the Redemption Church West campus. This team pulled nails out of existing baseboards, pulled up old tile and prepping for new flooring, and they also painted the inside of the youth building.
Thursday evening we drove to Gatier, Mississippi to the Home of Grace women's facility. God showed out again! Upon the firsts two verses of Know Mercy's version of "Good Good Father" originally by Chris Tomlin, the Spirit of our Lord was present! The ladies continued to praise and worship through the night. Know Mercy mingled and talked with the ladies at the center, sharing Gods love and reminding them that they are Loved!
